What is internal SEO?
Internal SEO refers to the process of optimizing the content and structure of your website (more specifically, specific landing pages within your website). There are many internal elements that factor in when optimizing your website; they include the following:
- The loading speed of your website
- The responsive structure of your website (how it resizes on smartphones and tablets and how the sizing compares to Google’s size guidelines)

What is external SEO?
External SEO refers to the process of developing the external factors that impact your rankings on search engines like Google. The biggest external factor is citations/inbound links to your website (not like from your website to other websites, but rather, links from other websites to your website). Higher quality links have a bigger impact on your rankings (Google generally likes links that are relevant to your website, as well as links that are high authority and local).
